Can you beat the square?
Can you beat the square is an action shooter where you have to beat the same square in every level...OR DO YOU?! The square evolves as you go and develops harder and more complex mechanics and attacks. Can you beat him in every level?
Grab a friend and try it! (local multiplayer)
Or try it alone! (singleplayer)
USE FULLSCREEN WHEN PLAYING IN BROWSER!
I RECOMMEND DOWNLOADING THE GAME!
CONTROLS
Keyboard&Mouse:
WASD to move. Mouse to look around. Left mouse button to fire. Space key to dash.
Gamepad:
Left Stick to move. Right stick to look/fire. RB to dash.
THERE IS A BUG
there is a Unity WebGl bug: When using gamepad, the y-axis is reversed. This only affects navigation in UI!

how many levels are there
There are 40 levels. In the menu there is a "levels" button where you can select any level.
Just finished level 40! Btw there's a invincibility bug with the shield: sometimes when you lose the shield you remain with invincibility, and to go back to normal I bought the invincibility dash upgrade and it fixed the problem, idk what it may be but I hope this helps!

Awesome game! The shop creates a nice strategy aspect and difficulty balancing system. But how many levels are there?! I stopped at 24 for now...

I like that it's playable on my basilisk-browser win8.1-laptop & that there are sound-config's like for music & effects, while I'd think "(can you beat the) square" sounds quite too common as title, still the gameplay and graphics being cool, especially including a fly that represents the protagonist.
If the level could be manually selected after completing one, e.g. either choosing "shop", "next" or "custom level", would be my personal suggestion.
What feature I'm kinda missing on itch, being a voting-option for this game?

yes that is the case. Just go to the jam site and set the filter to "most rated". I think this is the easiest way to find my game. Would be very thankful if you rated this game :)
